Workshops are effective for planning and prioritizing for the entire chapter. Each chapter should host the following workshops at least once during the academic year.
The Strategic Planning Workshop is a half-day workshop designed to boost your chapter's performance in the Seven Objectives of Chapter Excellence. Intended for the entire chapter, this workshop will help your chapter created its own strategic plan, or in the case that your chapter already has a strategic plan, this
workshop can be used to review and update your plan and
measure your progress. The National
Headquarters can assist in providing a trained facilitator for this
workshop upon request. You can download the Strategic Planning Facilitator's Guide here.
The Recruitment Workshop is a full-day planning and training program to help your chapter properly and effectively recruit new members. This
workshop is typically planned by the vice archon just prior to the start
of recruitment. Many chapters host multiple recruitment workshop during
the year to properly prepare for recruitment all year long. Recruitment Workshop resources are available in the Resource Library.
Within two weeks after your chapter's elections, the outgoing executive council should meet with the incoming executive council to plan for a smooth transition. We recommend that your chapter advisor and Council of Advisors also attend. All chapters are required to hold an election every November, and your officer transition should be complete by the first week of December to allow the newly elected executive council to properly prepare for Mid Year Leadership Conference in January. You can download the Officer Transition Plan here.
