Providing opportunities for lifelong involvement is a key part of the fraternity’s vision for our second century. Pi Kappa Phi offers a variety of opportunities to volunteer, and we likely have a role for you — no matter your age, location or level of time commitment. Working with Students

Chapter Advisor

Chapter advisors are appointed by the National Council but are not required to be members of Pi Kappa Phi. As the chapter advisor, you oversee the entire operation of one undergraduate chapter. In this critical volunteer role, you’ll help one chapter to create a top-notch fraternity experience on their campus. Chapter advisors attend two to four chapter meetings per month as well as two to four executive council meetings per month. They also have the authority to appoint a Council of Advisors to assist them. Council of Advisors

Serve on a council to assist the chapter advisor in his or her role. Positions on the council of advisors typically include three or more of the following: alumni relations advisor, financial advisor, The Ability Experience advisor, recruitment advisor, risk management advisor, ritual advisor, scholarship advisor and/or Standards Board advisor. Conference Facilitator

Help facilitate at one of Pi Kappa Phi’s premier leadership conferences.

Alcohol Skills Training Program Facilitator

As an ASTP facilitator, you present the ASTP program to Pi Kappa Phi chapters in your area. Through this program, you’ll teach students how alcohol affects their bodies and how to be more responsible when consuming alcohol.

Volunteer Roles

Working With Alumni

Housing Corporation Officer

Work with a local housing corporation to improve the quality of home for an undergraduate chapter. In most cases, housing corporations are in need of officers to perform alumni chapter functions as well.

Alumni Chapter Officer

Keep alumni reconnected to their chapter. Assist in developing newsletters and other critical communications, plan reunion events and create a true lifelong experience for alumni.
